Ingredients
  

  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1.5 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Toss the sliced apples with the granulated sugar, lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, then spread in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, remaining cinnamon, salt, and melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the topping is golden and the apples are bubbling.
  6. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
