Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon skin-side up and sear for 4 minutes, until golden. Flip and cook 3 more minutes, then transfer to a plate.
  3. Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter and garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice, and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the salmon to the skillet, spoon the glaze over the top, and cook for another minute until sticky and glossy. Serve immediately.
